During 10th to 16th March, 2011, the delegation from Novia University of Applied Sciences paid a visit to our school. Some teachers and students majored in relevant disciplines from School of Physics and Opto-Electronics Technology, School of Mathematics and Computer Science and School of Chemistry and Materials had a thorough discussion with the guests. They also touched upon such questions as the cooperation in discipline construction and student exchange.
On March 14 in the afternoon, Vice-president Xu Ming met with the delegation and the two sides had a further discussion on the project of running school jointly. Our school established a partnership with Novia University of Applied Sciences in 2006. Since then, almost 20 students from our school studied overseas in Finland. After having a better understanding of each other's specialties, research area and current situation of student exchange, etc, both sides put forward some constructive proposals concerning future cooperation and expressed the will to augment the size of student exchange and teacher visiting.
The chiefs from School of Physics and Opto-Electronics Technology, School of Mathematics and Computer Science, School of Chemistry and Materials and Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges also attended the meeting.
